Things people ask before signing up.

What counts as a monitor?
One endpoint we check — an HTTP/HTTPS URL, a TCP port, a DNS record, or an SSL certificate. Each check counts as one monitor. We don't charge separately for the number of regions we check from or the frequency.
Is the free tier really free for commercial use?
Yes. 25 monitors, 1-minute checks, unlimited team, commercial use OK, no card required, forever. This is the explicit alternative to UptimeRobot's October 2024 ToS change that banned commercial use on free. Free stays free.
What happens if I exceed my monitor count?
A soft cap with an in-app prompt to upgrade — never a surprise overage bill. Your existing monitors keep working; new ones above the cap show a "needs upgrade" state. We'd rather lose a few dollars of overage revenue than wake you up to an unexpected $400 invoice.
Do you charge per seat?
No. Never. Unlimited team members on every plan, including Free. Add your whole engineering org, your SRE rotation, your CEO who wants alerts — same price. Per-seat pricing is one of the biggest reasons people hate enterprise tools; we don't do it.
How is this different from UptimeRobot or BetterStack?
Three things that matter on day one: (1) multi-region consensus alerting on by default — single-region flaps die in the dashboard, not on your phone; (2) dependency-aware alerts that tag upstream incidents from Stripe, AWS, Cloudflare, Vercel etc. before paging you; (3) AI incident summaries included on every plan, including free. UptimeRobot charges $9/mo for 5-min checks and doesn't have any of these. BetterStack starts at $29/mo and bundles a lot — but is becoming a sprawling observability platform. We stay focused on uptime + on-call + status pages, done excellently.
Can I migrate from UptimeRobot, Pingdom, or BetterStack?
Importers for UptimeRobot, BetterStack, and Pingdom are on the beta roadmap — not built yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. Today: adding monitors in the dashboard takes under a minute each, and if you email a CSV export of your current monitors to support@repose.sh, we'll load it into your workspace for you.
What's the SLA on Repose itself?
99.9% on Starter, 99.95% on Pro, 99.99% on Scale. We publish our own status at status.repose.sh and a meta-status that monitors the monitor at probes.repose.sh. When we go down, you'll know — credits are automatic on the affected tiers.
Can I switch tiers? Cancel anytime?
Yes to both. Up or down, monthly or annual, prorated to the day. Cancel from the dashboard with one click — no "talk to retention" calls, no friction. Annual customers who cancel get a prorated refund for the unused months.
