Where Better Stack is the better choice

Phone calls and SMS, unlimited and included with every responder licence. We have neither — push notifications, email, Slack and Discord only.
A whole observability platform. Logs, metrics and telemetry alongside uptime. We do uptime, on-call and status pages, and nothing else.

Flat pricing, not per responder. Team is $29 a month with unlimited seats. Better Stack's paid plan is $34 per responder per month ($29 billed annually), plus $25 for each additional 50 monitors.

A stated paging rule. A page means all three probes, on three continents, agreed — and one region failing is written down with its reason instead of escalated. You can loosen it per monitor.
It knows when it isn't your fault. 14 provider status pages are mirrored, and an alert caused by an upstream outage is held or tagged.
Status page subscribers aren't metered. Unlimited from the $10 plan; Better Stack lists $40 a month per additional 1,000 subscribers.
Every alert decision is kept, with its reason, on every plan including free.
